JOSEPHINE ILOBA

I am JOSEPHINE ILOBA

A day’s decision and a step that changed and reshaped my life is the decision of joining the Music for Girls initiative.

MY JOURNEY:

I joined Music for Girls a few months after having my son, at that time I thought nothing would come out of me, at that time I saw motherhood as a barrier to pushing forward. But our mother hen, ESTAR MYKEL gave me the magic word “Believe in yourself, be bold, and live your dream”.

While at Music for Girls I met my fellow girls,  made a family, and had shoulders to lean on. Even at the time of breaking down, the mentors were just amazing and I never gave up. Right there I discovered the hidden me, I realized I had a voice not just a voice but a voice to create a change for myself, others, and the community.

I discovered how bold and confident I could be using my voice, I realized my body, is my right, and that no one takes decisions for me concerning my body including NO TO MENTAL ABUSE.

I started learning hand skills like being creative with beading which has become a source of empowerment for me and sustaining myself and my son. Now I can proudly say I made the right decision and everyone is definitely proud of me. What I got here is what I am also impacting other girls with as I extended my wings. Thanks to everyone that molded me into the woman I am today ESTAR MYKEL the CEO  of Music for Girls Africa I love you so much and promise to keep making you proud raising the bar so high. Music for Girls is a home and if you are yet to onboard kindly do and watch you grow your self-esteem.

Thank you all I AM A VOICE
